His collaboration for the project was, initially, with the screenwriter SEBASTIAN ISAGUIRRE. With whom he worked on MISTERIX, the legendary character created in 1946 by screenwriter Massimo Garnier and cartoonist PAUL CAMPANI, who was later continued by several authors until 1965, for Argentina and Italy.
Mauro was fascinated when he was asked to take on MISTERIX, since he is one of his favorite characters, and he immediately started working on the redesign of the character.
He wanted his appearance alone to prove that the atomic suit was powerful and invulnerable. For this he looked for inspiration in the busos of the early twentieth century.
The pages were originally conceived for the comic book format (vertical) but to make it easier to read on the web they were landscaped.
After making MISTERIX, he was commissioned to work with the iconic character of the national cartoon: the ETERNAUT.
On that occasion, in addition to doing the pencil and ink, he would be in charge of the script. But unlike his previous entry, he was limited to a scant three pages.
As with MISTERIX, the format of the pages was changed to be able to landscape them and improve their reading on the web.
